Day 1: arrival, transfer from Warsaw airport to Bialowieza (230 km, ca. 4h driving)
Day 2 and 3: bison safari – photographing European Bison and other species (Red Deer, Beaver) in the area; ca. 100-150 km drive everyday (4×4) + short walks (max 2-3km)
Day 4 and 5: raptor hides – 2 full days in the raptor hides (ca. 11-12h), photographing birds of prey (white-tailed eagle, common buzzard, goshawk) and scavengers (raven, red fox), chances for wolves
Day 6: woodpecker hides – photographing various forest birds (woodpeckers, tits, hawfinches, greenfinches, jay etc.) at forest feeders
Day 7: departure, transfer from Warsaw airport to Bialowieza (230 km, ca. 4h driving)
Optional activity: walk (ca. 7 km, 3-4h) in the Strictly Protected Area of the Bialowieza National Park – old-growth forest – the most interesting part of the Park – in winter – landscape photography. Price (the licensed guide): 130 Euro per group

The price includes: accommodation and meals (full board), transport (local and to/from Warsaw airport), guiding, use of the photohides
The price does not include: personal insurance, flight tickets, all items of personal nature, optional activities
Equipment needed:
– warm winter clothes and boots
– chemical foot-warmers (recommended)
– portable torch,
– right angle finder – very handy in a hide
– tripod
About the guide
Miha Mlakar is the founder of the Slovenianbears.com network of bear photo hides and has a broad knowledge of wildlife.
He organises photo tours and workshops, cooperating with renowned European nature photographers, such as Dionys Moser (CH), Christine Sonvilla (AT), Marc Graf (AT), Chavi Nandes (ES), and Joachim Griesinger (DE)
