The Water-Station Hide is a bird photography spot nestled just a short distance from the enchanting forest, not far from our accommodations.

Slovenianbears manages a network of 8 locations and 20 photo hides, that fit 2-4 persons each. The hides have been tailored to the needs of photographers, hence they have been selected carefully regarding location and light availability, they are approximately at eye level with the bears, and they are equipped with bean bags and offer options to fix tripod heads.

It is the only naturally preserved tourist cave in Slovenia, so it contains no strong lighting and concrete pathways

The lake normally stays on the Cerknica plain for about eight months a year. Water usually spreads over the surface of 20 km2, but at its fullest, the lake covers a surface of nearly 30 km2. When full, Lake Cerknica becomes the largest lake in Slovenia.
