Bears, Badgers & Birds
In May, the mating season begins, making it the best time to encounter older, larger bears. While they are typically solitary animals, May is when bears search for compatible partners in the lush woods of late spring.
May is also the prime month for observing and photographing badgers from our night hide, as their activity is at its peak. Additionally, there is a good chance of seeing other mammals.
Package includes 3 nights with full-board accommodation, 3 bear hide sessions, 2 night hide sessions and 2 morning bird photography sessions.
Slovenianbears offers ideal sighting options, however, sightings cannot be guaranteed. Nature follows its own set of rules.
With a bit of luck, you can capture stunning photographs of mature males and females during this mating season.
Our night-hide, equipped with LED illumination that provides abundant and focused light for perfect photos, offers the chance to encounter wildlife such as badgers, foxes, hedgehogs, stone martens, and occasionally, jackals.
The Water-Station Hide, near our accommodation, features a reflex glass window with soundproofing to keep birds undisturbed. It’s an excellent spot for photographing birds like woodpeckers, jays, and kingfishers, as well as squirrels.

Transportation to bear hides: we are asking you to follow us with your own vehicles to the bear hide locations.
