Brown bear photo-tour

In May, the mating season begins, making it the best time to encounter older, larger bears. While bears are usually solitary animals, this is when they search for partners in the lush spring forests.

May is also the prime month for observing and photographing badgers and hedgehogs from our night hide, as their activity is at its peak. There is also a very good chance of spotting a Kingfisher from our Kingfisher Hide, along with other mammals.

On fresh mornings, you can photograph birds from our Water-Station Hide. This hide is nestled just a short distance from the forest and offers eye-level photography with birds at a carefully designed drinking pool in front of the hide. It is regularly visited by numerous species, including European Green Woodpecker, Grey-headed Woodpecker, Wryneck, Green Sandpiper, Crossbill, Hawfinch, and many others.

The package includes three nights of full-board accommodation, three bear hide sessions in the afternoon, and a mix of bird hides & the Kingfisher Hide in the morning, and the Badger Hide.

Slovenianbears offers ideal sighting options, however, sightings cannot be guaranteed. Nature follows its own set of rules. The program may change due to weather conditions, wildlife activity, or the time of year.
